Singer Rahul Vaidya, who voluntarily walked out of the 'Bigg Boss 14' house during the controversial reality show's 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode featuring host Salman Khan, issued a statement on his social media handles, thanking his fans for their relentless love and support.

After superstar-host Salman Khan made Rahul realise that his enthusiasm to stay in the show and his determination to win and dedicatedly compete in had fizzled out, Rahul, on being asked if he wanted to exit, graciously accepted the offer to walk out voluntarily.

And now, on Monday, the singer released a statement calling his journey in the 'Bigg Boss' house 'nothing short of a dream'.

Rahul captioned his post, "Big love and blessings to you all, Aapka Rahul Vaidya - RKV."

Here's Rahul Vaidya's full statement:

"To all my fans and well-wishers, this journey that I embarked upon has been nothing short of a dream. From the trends to all the messages I received… you all made me feel so loved. I'm so glad that I could entertain you all and seeing your response has made me realise how huge our fandom has become. Your relentless love, support and admiration have been overwhelming and I can't thank you all enough. Big love and blessings to you all.

Aapka Rahul Vaidya."

Earlier, on the 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode, before Salman Khan could announce the contestant who had received the least number of votes and was to be evicted, Rahul Vaidya chose to walk out from the house.

An emotional Rahul tried to justify the reason for his leaving. Rahul looked upset and upon enquiring, he said he had become homesick. Salman, taking note of the situation, told Rahul that it is difficult staying in the house, especially when he hasn't received a reply from Disha Parmar on his marriage proposal. The actor joked that he has been in these situations often, but that didn't seem to change how Rahul felt.

Rahul issued an unconditional apology to the makers and Salman Khan before leaving. He had also said, "In my life, I have never lived away from my parents. I am mentally strong but not without my family. I don't do anything without my heart in it. Also, I did not make a bond good enough in the Bigg Boss house to share my feelings and emotions with. I do not intend to upset the fans or the makers but I want to leave the show. I don't want to cheat myself and the show."
