MELBOURNE: India's women rhythmic gymnasts were eliminated in the qualification rounds of the all-around team event at the 18th Commonwealth Games here.

The trio of Komal Ishwer Nahar, Surekha Rana and Rajni Sharma finished 24th, 25th and 26th respectively with totals of 21.875, 21.250 and 21.225.

The gold went to Alexandra Michel Orlando of Canada ahead of Durratun Nashihin Rosli of Malaysia and Canadian Yana Tsikaridze.

In the team rankings, India brought up the rear in seventh position with a total of 54.725.

The team gold went to the Canadian team of Carly Orava, Orlando and  Tsikardze. who aggregated 128.775.

Malaysia got the silver medal totalling 124.175 ahead of Australia.
