MUMBAI
On Wednesday the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 33.1°C while the minimum was 23.6°C.
There seems to be no respite from the heat for the city in the coming days. While the maximum temperatures are still hovering under 34°C, humidity and the rising minimum temperatures will make Mumbaikars sweat it out.
On Wednesday the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 33.1°C while the minimum was 23.6°C. However as per weather forecasters, as the week progresses, the city will only see high humidity levels and little breeze.
Rajesh Kapadia a private weather forecaster who also runs the popular weather blog Vagaries of Weather said that Mumbai will have to brace for hotter days and warmer nights till Sunday. “While maximum temperatures will be around 34°C, we expect the minimum temperatures to rise to around 24°C along with the humidity too, which will result in real feel temperatures of around 38°C making people feel hotter and cause discomfort,” he shared.
However, Mumbaikars planning a trip to hill stations of Mahabaleshwar and Matheran too would not have a respite as the day temperatures at these popular tourists spots are also likely to be around 35°C till Sunday.
