Here's where you should head to if you want to spot celebrities
Most tourist who visit Mumbai sure want a peek at their favourite movie stars house. Similarly you just can't escape the glitz and glamour when you are in Los Angeles. Lots of stars not only work in L.A., but live and play in the area too. Here are a few key places to head for on your next visit to spot a celeb or two.
BEACH TALES
Toned celebs are often sunning on Malibu's Carbon Beach , nicknamed "Billionaire's Beach." At the Santa Monica Pier, look for star parents like Britney Spears escorting their kids on rides like the solar-powered Ferris wheel.
SHOP HOPPING
In Santa Monica, Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow visit Brentwood Country Mart, and Halle Berry and David Beckham have shopped at exclusive Fred Segal. The Wednesday Santa Monica Farmers' Markets and Sunday Studio City Farmer's Market are also good places to spy stars picking up produce.
FOOD FUNDAS
In West Hollywood, paparazzi stand outside The Ivy on Robertson for good reason—since 1983 it has been a celebrity favorite. Santa Monica's Huckleberry Café draws Jennifer Garner. In Beverly Hills, Brad Pitt has been spotted at swanky Mastro's Steakhouse.
IN THE LOBBY
During awards season (Golden Globes in January, Oscars in March), camp out at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills Hotel, and Hotel Bel-Air—all three draw big-name stars.
FAMOUS ALLEYS
In Hollywood, see your favorite celebs memorialized with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, with handprints in the courtyard fronting TCL Chinese Theatre, or in wax at Madame Tussauds Hollywood. Many stars are buried in local cemeteries, which are open to respectful visitors: Marilyn Monroe's simple crypt, often smudged with red lipstick kisses, is at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park.
BEHIND THE GATES
Ride in a Starline Tours' van to drive past the homes of stars like Tom Cruise and Katy Perry, or take the the TMZ Tour to find out where celebrities shop, eat, and get into trouble.
AT WORK!
In Burbank, the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour gives you access to sound stages, plus a possible run-in with stars on set. Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City, Paramount Studios in Hollywood, and Sony Pictures in Culver City offer tours too—you never know whom you might see.
