Pakistan PM Imran Khan orders probe; parents approach court

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday ordered the Sindh and Punjab governments to work together to rescue the two teenaged Hindu girls. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said, “The minorities in Pakistan make up the white of our flag and all of our flag’s colours are precious to us. Protection of our flag is our duty.”

Meanwhile, the girls’ parents have approached a court in Bahawalpur seeking protection. Reports also said that the Sindh police has arrested one man from Khanpur, who is suspected to have assisted in the nikah (marriage) of the underage girls.
