Kicking off the Independence Day 2023 celebrations across the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be delivering an address from the Red Fort on the morning of August 15, after which the festivities of the 77th Independence Day will commence.

PM Modi will be reaching the Red Fort in the early hours of August 15 and will be unfurling the national flag to mark the celebrations of Independence Day 2023. After unfurling the flag, the Prime Minister will address the nation for the 10th time this year, his final I-Day as the PM before the Lok Sabha polls 2024.

According to the schedule issued by the Centre, PM Modi will reach the Red Fort at around 7:15 am on August 15, and will unfurl the national flag at around 7:30 am. His speech will commence after the flag has been unfurled, around 7:45 am on August 15.

With the Independence Day 2023 address being the 10th and last for his term as the Prime Minister, it is expected that PM Modi’s speech will focus on the achievements of his government on making India ‘Viksit Bharat’, and also the new-age technological advancements across the country.

According to news reports, PM Modi’s Independence Day 2023 speech will be live after 7:30 am. It is expected that the PM will speak for over an hour on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day of India.

Further, PM Modi’s speech can be heard live across the nation through radio and TV news channels, as well as the social media handles of the government. The speech will be live streamed on the official channels of PMO and BJP.

This year, 1800 special guests have been invited to be a part of the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort, in line with the Centre’s push for ‘Jan Bhagidari’ in the celebrations this year.
