Girl kidnapped, gang-raped in field in Haryana

A 19-year-old girl, who is the recipient of an academic award, was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped in Haryana's Mahendragarh district. In her complaint, the woman said that all her attackers belonged to her village.

According to an NDTV report, the victim was on her way to attend coaching class when she was accosted by the three men who kidnapped the girl, dragged her to a nearby field and gangraped her.

The victim also alleged that ther were some men present in the field who were also involved in the attack.

The parents of the girl alleged that the police refused to file an FIR against the accused men. They also alleged that they were threatened by the accused against pursuing the matter.

The police, however, said that a zero FIR has been filed and the Mahendergarh police are investigating the matter, India.com reported.
