Watch: AR Rahman's music lifts Gautham Menon-Simbu's 'Achcham Enbathu Madamaiyada'

Simbu has been off the radar for the last few weeks after the 'Beep song' controversy broke out. However, as a New Year gift, Oscar-winner AR Rahman released the trailer of the actor's film Achcham Enbathu Madamaiyada directed by Gautham Menon. Rahman has done the music for this film.

After seeing the trailer, many people have stated that the music and visuals have a very Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya feel - the 2010 love story that also starred Simbu and directed by Gautham Menon. The music from that film is still an audience favourite, and the songs continue to rule the airwaves.

Achcham Enbathu Madamaiyada stars actress Manjima Mohan with Simbu. It is being made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. In Telugu it is titled Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo and stars Naga Chaitanya. Manjima is the lead heroine in that as well.

In the Tamil trailer, we see a more mature Simbu (with a beard) with his lady love. It is a road movie and we see the two of them on a bike riding across various places. The movie also has action as we see towards the end of the trailer.

Before AR Rahman put out the trailer link, the director of the film Gautham Menon gave us a preview of the music in the film.
