Sampath J Ram, popular Kannada television actor dies by suicide at 35

On April 22, Saturday, Kannada television popular actor, Sampath J Ram died by suicide at his Nelamangala residence. Sampath has been an integral part of hit television series, including Agnisakshi. One of his recent works was the movie, Sri Balaji Photo Studio. 

As per the media reports, Sampath was not getting enough work opportunities which caused the actor to take such a drastic step. Actor Rajesh Dhruva who has been Sampath's co-star confirmed the demise news and shared a heartfelt post in Kannada. In the post, Rajesh shared two photos of the actor and wrote in Kannada which roughly translates as, "Hey son, we don't have the strength to bear your separation. So many films to be done. So much quarrel is left. There is still a lot of time to make your dreams come true. We still have to see you in the big stages. Come back please."

Apart from Rajesh, several other Kannada celebrities mourned the loss of Sampath. There is no official word from his family or friends yet. The mortal remains of Sampath have been kept at a private hospital in Nelamangala. Reportedly, Ram will be shifted to his hometown of NR Pura for the final rites.

In an interview with ETimes, Sampath Jayaram's Agnisakshi co-star Vijay Suriya revealed that Sampath was seeking good offers, and meatier roles for him. Last year, Sampath got married, and he is survived by his wife. The last rites of the actor is expected to take place on Sunday.
