Even though actress Nikita Thukral has received an apology from the Karnataka Film Producer’s Association, there is no any news of her signing a new Kannada film yet. On the other hand, it’s the Tamil industry that seems to be keen on giving her the best. And now, the actor will soon be starring opposite Karthi Sivakumar.

“Yes, I’ve been signed on to act opposite Karthi in his next film, which will go on the floors once he completes his current one,” reveals Nikita, who is quite elated to be part of this film. She adds, “This is his home banner and will be produced by his brother Suriya. So I know that this is a big deal.”

Nikita, who has been quite a hit in Kollywood ever since her special dance number in Saroja, awaits the release of her Tamil film Muran this month. The actress is extremely grateful for the way the Tamil film industry stood by her side and how some of the big names in the industry even fought for her.

“I was really amazed by the way how people like Khushboo ma’am, who was on most of the national news channels, voiced her support towards me. Similarly, many of the other actors and technicians stood by my side as well. This kind of overwhelming support means a lot,” says Nikita.

Recent reports have quoted Nikita as saying that she would not take up Kannada projects, after the trauma that she’s been through. The actor strongly says, “I know that it has been a trying time for my family and me. But, I am always open to working in a good Kannada project. Only, there are a few bitter memories, but I’m sure I’ll be able to overcome that.” Atta girl!
