Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez helped in raising $6.7 million for Aids research at a star-studded auction event in France.

The Wedding Planner star helped to auction 10 precious gifts like a gold-plated bottle of Dom Perignon champagne and a flight in a fighter jet, reports Aceshowbiz.com.

The 40-year-old actress took time out from her busy schedule from the ongoing 63rd Cannes Film Festival for the auction. She was joined by celebrities in the audience, including Paris Hilton, Naomi Watts, Mick Jagger and Naomi Campbell.

Musician Mary J Blige and Patti Smith provided the music and actor Russell Crowe helped lead the bids. Each seat at the event cost $6,000.
