Marathi actor Ashutosh Bhakre, married to another renowned Marathi actor Mayuri Deshmukh (known for her work in 'Khulta Kali Khulena'), was found dead in his hometown Nanded last night. It is reported that the actor, who worked in movies like 'Bhakar' and 'Ichar Tharla Pakka', hanged himself at his residence.

Police Inspector Anant Narute of Shivaji Nagar police station said, "The news came to us around 1.30 pm. We have registered an accidental death report (ADR) as per standard procedure. We have recorded a statement from Ashutosh's father, and he hasn't blamed anyone for what happened. We haven't spoken to any other family members as they are still coming to terms with the loss."

Although the reason behind Ashutosh's sudden demise is unknown, it is heard that he was undergoing depression for some time. There is no confirmed reports if prescriptions or medications for his depression were recovered from the place.

Other popular Marathi actors paid their condolences too. Shashank Ketkar and Reena Agarwal, who worked in '31 days', as well as veteran actor Sanjay Mone, who worked with Mayuri in the Marathi play 'Dear Ajjo', expressed shock at the development.

The news comes during the time when many people have been demanding justice in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. In that case, the Mumbai Police has concluded that the actor was depressed and died by hanging himself.
