The UPSC exam is one of the toughest ones to crack in India. Every year lakhs of candidates try their hands at becoming an IAS officer and work hard for it. Some people do it it realise their dreams, others do it to fulfill the dreams of their near and dear ones. Today, we will tell you about IAS officer Mudra Gairola, an IPS turned IAS officer who left her medical studies in between to fulfill her father's dream of becoming an IAS officer. 

IAS officer Mudra Gairola is a resident of Karnprayag in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Her family currently lives in Delhi. IAS officer Mudra Gairola has been a topper since childhood. IAS officer Mudra Gairola had 96% marks in the 10th and 97% marks in the 12th board exams. She has been awarded in school by Kiran Bedi, India's first woman IPS officer.

IAS officer Mudra Gairola passed Class 12 and enrolled in BDS i.e. Bachelor of Dental Surgery course in a medical college in Mumbai. IAS officer Mudra Gairola also got a gold medal in BDS. After graduation, she came to Delhi and enrolled in MDS but her father always wanted her to become an IAS officer. 

It was IAS officer Mudra Gairola's father's dream to become an IAS officer himself which he could not fulfill. 

To fulfill her father's lifelong dream, IAS officer Mudra Gairola left MDS in the middle and started preparing for the UPSC exam. In the year 2018, IAS officer Mudra Gairola took the UPSC Civil Services exam for the first time in which she reached the interview round. 

IAS officer Mudra Gairola gave UPSC interview again in 2019 but the final selection did not happen. After this, in 2020, she could not crack the Mains exam.

IAS officer Mudra Gairola again took the UPSC exam in 2021. This time her hard work paid off and she cleared UPSC with 165th rank and became an IPS. To realise her dreams of becoming an IAS officer, IAS officer Mudra Gairola, in the year 2022, managed to become IAS by clearing UPSC with 53rd rank.
