Unidentified girl's body found in Noida

An unidentified body of a 19-year-old girl was found dumped at an isolated place near Kisan Chowk under Phase-3 area of Noida on Thursday morning. Police are waiting for the autopsy reports to ascertain if the girl was raped before the killing or not. The police investigation is underway and the identity of the body is yet to be ascertained.

According to the police, a commuter informed them about the body lying near the Kisan Chowk, Noida on the morning of Thursday. A dupatta was tied around the neck of the victim when the commuter saw it.

"We got a police control room call at around 6 am today about the body of a woman lying near the Kisan Chowk. A police team reached the spot and the body was later sent for post-mortem examination," said a senior police officer.
Prima facie, it appears that the woman was murdered before and dumped at the roadside. Police said the victim had a dupatta around her neck to give the idea of suicide.

Police said that the woman seemed to be a native of Northeast due to her facial features. Police are waiting for the post-mortem reports to ascertain the sexually assault angle in the case.

"The body was found in a semi-naked state when we reached the spot. So, we are awaiting the results of the post-mortem and further action will be taken accordingly," said a senior police officer.

Police have not yet registered a case as they are awaiting the post-mortem results. Police are trying to establish the identity of the woman so that further action is taken accordingly. Police are trying to look into all the possible angles of the case.
