Naraina SHO's car being driven by son robbed at gunpoint in Dwarka

The victim, Sagar Chauhan told the police that while fleeing with the vehicle, the man had threatened to shoot him if he tried to resist. The car was registered in Sunil Chauhan's name, the SHO of Naraina.

A car being driven by a station house officer (SHO)'s son was robbed near Dwarka on Wednesday while it was parked outside the DDA flats in Sector 23. The victim, Sagar Chauhan told the police that while fleeing with the vehicle, the man had threatened to shoot him if he tried to resist. The car was registered in Sunil Chauhan's name, the SHO of Naraina.

The incident was reported around 6 pm when Chauhan had gone inside the flat to meet a friend. He told the police that since he was to return within a few minutes, he didn't lock the car. Upon returning, he had found a youth sitting on the driver's seat.

The youth he allegedly pointed a pistol towards him and threatened to shoot if he tried to resist. The police say that the youth then drove the car towards sector 19.

Chauhan said that he stopped chasing the car and made a PCR car. A police team reached the scene after this and recorded his statement. Some CCTV footages from the area are being scanned to identify the youth.

  • The incident took place when Sagar had gone to meet a friend and had not locked his car. When he returned within minutes he saw a youth sitting on driver’s seat.
