Scored 85 runs, four reprieves and was awarded his third Man of the Match award during an India vs Pakistan clash in the World Cup - that's Sachin Tendulkar for you.

After Team India had defeated Australia in the 2011 World Cup quarterfinal, the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side had to now take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their semifinal clash.

When it comes to India and Pakistan, the contest between the two becomes more than just cricket. While all awaited the much-awaited clash, the Master Blaster, who was in tremendous form in the World Cup, was one short of registering his 100th international hundred.

Fans were hoping to see the magical moment take place against Pakistan and the batsman becoming the match-winner for the hosts.

And rightly so, the day came and it was Tendulkar's 'luckiest' innings. Pakistan tried to get the Little Master out, but they kept falling. In total, Tendulkar was dropped four times in his innings.

He still went on to score a half-century. He has even trapped LBW but was saved by the third umpire. Tendulkar could have also been stumped, but wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal messed it up behind the stumps while collecting the ball.

Tendulkar reached the score 85 but was eventually dismissed by Saeed Ajmal with Shahid Afridi taking a catch. His score helped India post 260/9 in 50 overs.

In reply, despite a half-century from Misbah-ul-Haq, Pakistan were bundled out for 231 in 49.5 overs, and India went on to win the match by 29 runs.

While the win over Pakistan is always special, it was more enjoyable as it was India’s 5th straight victory in a World Cup match over the neighbours.
