Have the selectors made the right decision by dropping Mahendra Singh Dhoni from India's T20I squad?
Updated : Oct 27, 2018, 12:03 AM IST
Mahendra Singh Dhoni was on Friday dropped from India's squads for the upcoming T20 International series against West Indies and Australia.
The Board Of Control for Cricket in India released the squads late on Friday and fans immediately took to social media to voice their disapproval.
Dhoni retired from Tests a few years ago, choosing to concentrate only on white-ball cricket. His ommission from India's T20 squad compelled many to suggest that the legend might not make it to the 2019 ICC World Cup.

This was probably the best year of Dhoni in T20 cricket. It was this year only, he looked the most dangerous T20 player and he's out of team. Let's see what others can do what he didn't.#Dhoni #INDvsWI

Even the Indian T20i team for #AusvInd announced. 17 members. Big NEWS is that Dhoni is NOT in that team too. Might not see Dhoni in India colours for the T20 format again... #AusvInd

Dhoni has the second best strike rate and he is third highest scorer in the last two years in T20s. If BCCI can’t drop dhoni in ODIs after having a poor 2018 with the bat then no way they will drop him in T20s. It’s his personal decision. Retirement must be around the corner.
