After rain played the spoilsport for the India vs Pakistan match once again, the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four battle between the cricket rivals has been pushed to the Reserve Day, September 11, with Pakistan yet to bat after fielding for 24 overs.
Asia Cup 2023 IND vs PAK match for Super Four is the only match in the tournament till now to get a Reserve Day because of the rain, due to the bad weather conditions in Sri Lanka and the massive revenue and viewership pulled by the cricket clash.
While rain led to the deferment of the India vs Pakistan match on both September 2 and September 10, cricket fans are holding out hope that the match will finally take place on September 11. Here is all you need to know about the Reserve Day battle of the two teams.
IND vs PAK, Asia Cup 2023: Rain forecast for Reserve Day
If all goes to plan, Rohit Sharma’s Team India will face Babar Azam’s Pakistan on the Reserve Day (September 11) at 3 pm at the same venue – R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. India is set to resume its batting from 24.1 overs with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul on the pitch.
However, the weather reports state that it could rain on the Reserve Day of the match as well. According to Weather.com, there is a 90 percent chance of rain in Colombo today, playing spoilsport for the game once again.
If it rains on Reserve Day of India vs Pakistan match, the umpires would try to get Pakistan to bat for at least 20 overs with an estimated target to decide who advances from the Super Four match.
The IND vs PAK match for Asia Cup 2023 will have the same time and livestreaming details as the match yesterday and is set to commence from 3 pm today.
