Anil Rai Gupta is an Indian businessman who leads Havells India, an electrical company, as chairman and managing director. The company was founded by his late father Qimat Rai Gupta in 1958 as an electricals trading business.

Anil has been leading the company since 2014. He joined Havells in 1992 as Executive Director and was elevated to the top position of the company after his father's demise in 2014. The 54-year-old holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce. He has an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Wake Forest University, North Carolina, US.

His mother, Vinod Rai Gupta, is the 4th richest woman in India, according to Forbes. She has a real-time net worth of Rs 37,330 crore as of September 13. Havells India has a market capitalisation of Rs 87,685 crore as of September 13, 2023. The share of the company was Rs 1,398.50 on NSE on Wednesday.

Gupta is one of the founders of Ashoka University, a private liberal arts college in Haryana. He wrote a biography of his father, Havells: The Untold Story of Qimat Rai Gupta (2016). Gupta is married to Sangeeta Rai Gupta. They have two children.

Anil's marketing strategies proved to be highly fundamental for transforming Havells from a family brand to a globally recognized electrical and consumer durable company. Havells makes everything from electrical and lighting fixtures to fans, refrigerators and washing machines. The company has 14 factories and sells in more than 50 countries.
