As Karan Johar has a stake in the film, it is being assumed that he will push his latest protégée’s name for the role of the girl, whom Ranveer will serenade on screen.

Since her first release, Kedarnath, seems to have hit a roadblock, right now, other big filmmakers who are in immediate need of dates for shooting, are sceptical about venturing in this promising youngster’s direction. A source says, “Everyone knows Kedarnath has to be Sara’s first release. As the film itself is in a state of flux, no one wants to venture in her direction yet.”
HAS ALIA’S NAME BEEN CROSSED FROM ROHIT’S LIST?
It might be recalled that Alia Bhatt was the first choice for Golmaal Again. However, she had reportedly asked Rohit for ‘time to think it over’ when his company had approached her, hurting the filmmaker’s self-esteem. Golmaal Again released and surpassed the Rs 200-cr mark with flourish. Now, it seems like Alia may have been crossed from Rohit’s list, at least for the time being.
One hears that Karan could play peacemaker between his mentee and Rohit. But for the moment, there’s a stalemate here.
SHRADDHA HAD ACTED PRICEY...
Shraddha Kapoor, who was the next choice after Alia, wanted a ‘full script narration’ from the Golmaal team. She had also brought up the excuse of her dates clashing with those of her biopic, Haseena. According to an insider, she was reportedly playing hard to get. Her loss, as we know, was Parineeti Chopra’s gain.
