However, 48 of these films in those 4 years were disasters at the box office. Only 2 were hits. The interesting thing is that these 50 films did a business of Rs 71.12 crore at the box office.

In the year 1997, Mithun Chakraborty's film 'Shapath' was successful and the film did a business of Rs 4.95 crore. At the same time, 'Loha' had collected Rs 2.3 crore, 'Kaalia' had collected Rs 2.74 crore, and 'Daadagiri' had collected Rs 2.66 crore.

Mithun Chakraborty's 'Chandaal' was successful in the year 1998, and earned Rs 3.59 crore. Whereas, 'Sher-E-Hindustan' collected Rs 3.18 crore, 'Gunda' collected Rs 2.14 crore, 'Military Raaj' collected Rs 2.56 crore, and 'Yamraaj' collected Rs 2.84 crore.

In the year 1999, Mithun Chakraborty's magic did not work at all. His film 'Shera' did a business of Rs 2.62 crores. At the same time, 'Ganga Ki Kasam' and 'Aaag Hi Aag' proved to be disasters.

In the year 2000, Mithun Chakraborty's films like 'Jwalamukhi', 'Billa No. 786' and 'Dada' became popular, but flopped badly at the box office. That year, Mithun Chakraborty's 'Sultaan' became the highest-grossing film, which did a business of Rs 1.38 crore.

As for Mithun Chakraborty's latest update, just a few days back, he was hospitalized after complaining of chest pain and it was determined that he had suffered a stroke. He has been discharged from the hospital now and is in good health.
