SRK stated, "I was 18 back in 1984 when I started liking a girl Gauri and as earlier people used to say, our affair started. She used to stay in Panchsheel and I stayed at Hauz Khaz. So, I used to visit nearby her house or normally where lovers meet like gardens, restaurants and discotheques, I used to sing a song for her. Because I could hardly get to meet her, so I had to sing a song in her locality. The song was 'Gori Tera Gaon Bada Pyara'. My wife never liked it, she is my wife now. She used to find it cheap that I used to sing for her."
