Box Office: Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's 'Stree' passes the Monday test, inches closer to Rs 50 crore mark

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer horror-comedy Stree has managed to pass the Monday test at the ticket windows with flying colours. The movie continued its fantastic run at the box office on day for of its release and has  made the most of the holiday for Janmashtami. 

Stree further raked in a total of Rs 9.70 crore on the fourth day of its release. The movie is inching closer to the Rs 50 crore mark as it has managed to collect Rs 41.97 crore in just four days of its release. 

Since Tuesday will be a working weekday, it'll be interesting to see whether the movie will cross the Rs 50 crore mark on day five, or it'll do so on Wednesday. As of now, the movie is riding high on a positive word of mouth from the audience and pretty good reviews from the critics. 

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the box office collection figures of the film. He wrote, "#Stree runs riot at the BO... Surpasses expectations by putting up a FANTASTIC TOTAL on Day 4 [#Janmashtami holiday]… Fri 6.83 cr, Sat 10.87 cr, Sun 14.57 cr, Mon 9.70 cr. Total: ₹ 41.97 cr. India biz... This one’s a SUPER HIT."

Stree also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee in significant roles. The Amar Kaushik directorial is being much appreciated owing to its interesting plot, cleverly-written dialogues and its message as well.
