Back in 2019, soon after the release of Housefull 4, Akshay Kumar had teased about the fifth instalment in the hit franchise. He had shared a photo posing with Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kriti Kharbanda, Warda Nadiadwala, Chunky Panday, Pooja Hegde, Farhad Samji and Sajid Nadiadwala. Now as per the latest report, Nadiadwala is all set to bring the actors from all the four movies in Housefull 5.
Which means actors namely Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Abhishek, Jacqueline and others will be joining Akshay and Riteish who have been a part of all the films in the fifth instalment of Housefull franchise.
Talking about it, a source close to the development stated, "It will be a huge ensemble cast since all the characters are coming back together for the 5th instalment. Sajid along with his team is working on the script and plan to shoot the movie in Imax format. Last films shot in Bollywood with such a format are Baahubali and Padmavaat. With this Sajid & Akshay are making their own Comedy Avenger Universe."
Back in 2019, a source had hinted about it to a tabloid by saying, "The basic premise of all the Housefull films results from a confusion between three couples. For part five, Sajid wants to throw five couples into the mix to amp up the fun by five times."
They also said, "Since the film demands a huge ensemble, it is essential to get coordinated bulk dates from all the actors. There will be clarity on the shooting schedule and the release date only when the script is locked."
The first three instalments of Housefull released in 2010, 2012 and 2016 were directed by Sajid Khan. Whereas, Housefull 4 was helmed by Farhad Samji.
