Government employees who hold a degree either in engineering or in computer application will no longer have to take the CCC examination. The government made the announcement in a notification.
The CCC examination is compulsory for government employees for promotion. Earlier, it was only the Gujarat Technological University, which was conducting the examination, but now Gujarat University conducts it as well.
In 2015, when the government realised that the number of employees who were to appear for the examination had increased to 1.5 lakh, four other universities were roped in.
