Ahmedabad: Cyber cell arrests Rajkot man for fake profile

The cyber cell of the Crime Branch on Saturday apprehended a man from Rajkot for allegedly creating a fake profile of a woman and sending husband obscene messages to her husband through bogus account.

On June 6, the cyber cell received a complaint from a woman living in Ahmedabad in which stated that two profiles on Facebook name Sindura Rajput and Vishal Odedara had been sending her husband obscene messages. In this regard, the cyber cell arrested Jayesh Patel, 47-year-old, a civil engineer from Rajkot city.

While interrogating the accused, Police said, "Patel revealed that he and the victim used to live in the same area before her marriage." Patel set up the two fake profiles to harass her and to send obscene text messages and images of her to complaint's husband.
