Clothing brand FabIndia is grabbing headlines yet again after recently facing backlash over its latest clothing collection titled 'Jashn-e-Riwaaz' for the upcoming Diwali festivities.

While 'Jashn-e-Riwaaz' for a Diwali collection did not go down well with social media users, now a new social media trend has started where Twitter users asserted the need to wear a 'bindi' and started trending 'NoBindiNoBusiness'.

Author Shefali Vaidya pointed out that the models in the FabIndia advertisement were not wearing a bindi. Opposing it, she tweeted, "Speaking for myself. Not buying anything for #Deepawali from ANY brand that shows models without a bindi. #NoBindiNoBusiness."

Once Shefali's tweet went viral on Twitter, several users also started to share photos of themselves wearing bindis or tilaks.

While a lot of Twitter users also spoke about how a bindi was part of their identity, others argued that wearing a bindi or not should be a personal choice.

As for the advertisement, on October 9, FabIndia tweeted out the campaign for the Diwali collection with a post and wrote, "As we welcome the festival of love and light, Jashn-e-Riwaaz, by FabIndia is a collection that beautifully pays homage to Indian culture…" The campaign featured men and women who were seen modelling beautiful garments in vibrant shades of red, maroon, and gold.

Soon after netizens noticed the tweet, the brand had to face the wrath of social media users for calling the Diwali collection 'Jashn-e-Riwaaz'.

Uttarakhand MLA Rajkumar, Tejaswi Surya, President of BJP Yuva Morcha too called out the brand for 'abrahamisation of Hindu festivals'.
