In the latest promo of Bigg Boss 14, Rahul Vaidya left everyone surprised with his gesture. Yes, the singer in the promo went down on his knee to propose marriage to his girlfriend and actor Disha Parmar. Rahul proposed to Disha on national television and that too, on Disha's birthday. She turned 26 today.
Who is Disha Parmar?
For the uninformed, Disha is an Indian model and actor who has been featured in several television shows but is still best known for her lead role as Pankhuri in Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. She received a lot of praise for her TV show, especially for her chemistry with Nakuul Mehta.
In 2017 she played the lead role of Jhanvi/Jia in Zee Tv's daily soap Woh Apna Sa. She also participated in Box Cricket League in 2014. Meanwhile, Disha Parmar has also been featured in many commercials. In 2019, she collaborated with Rahul Vaidya for a music video titled 'Yaad Teri'.
As for the promo shared by the channel, Rahul confesses about having a girlfriend and how much he is nervous to propose to Disha on national television. He is seen holding a ring in his hand and goes down in his knee while making the contestants go aww.
One of Disha's friends Maanika Dhhaandaa took to her Instagram story and shared a video in which the actor is cutting her birthday cake in the presence of her friends. When her friends asked her are you happy and if they are the reasons, she quipped 'Obviously!'. Then one friend of Disha asks if she is happier because 'someone' proposed to her on national television. On hearing this, Parmar turns red while blushing and hides her face cutely.
It was last year when Rahul hinted about seeing Disha. He had told, "I met Disha through common friends two years ago. We hit it off instantly, and often hang out together. It would be premature to say that we are in love, but yes, we are trying to get to know each other well. Disha is a simple girl. She is also very kind and I like those qualities about her. A few days ago, I had a music concert in Pune, so I invited her to fly with me. Since we are best friends, we just thought of spending some quality time together. I don’t know what the future holds for us."
