Wrestling aficionados can now breathe a sigh of relief as Dalip Singh Rana or 'The Great Khali' is doing well after suffering severe head injuries in a wrestling match at Haldwani in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. The powerful was confident that he would take part in the second show of 'The Great Khali Returns Series', which is going to be held on February 28th.
The former WWE wrestler was beaten up during the first show of 'The Great Khali Returns Series' while he was fighting against foreign wrestlers -- Mike Knox and Brody Steel -- at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Gaula Par, Haldwani.

According to reports, the "foreign fighters" were held responsible for these injuries as they slammed Khali with chairs and punches. Khali was stretchered off from the arena. Pictures circulated in the social media where it was seen that the gigantic was bleeding profusely. He was airlifted from Haldwani and bought to a speciality hospital in Dehradun. The doctors had suspected that Khali had suffered injuries to his chest as well but the exact nature of injuries are yet to be known. "Khali has been under observation and tests are being conducted on him to know whether he has suffered injuries to his chest as well," one of the organisers of The Great Khali Returns Series said.
However, the gigantic wrestler was seen at the airport with his head bandaged and a cervical collar attached to his neck. He looked in good shape as he shaked hands with one of the organisers.
The second show of this series is scheduled to be held here on February 28 and Khali confirmed that he would be part of it too. "I am recovering from the injury and will take part in a wrestling match on 28th February," he said. Khali was crowned the World Heavyweight Champion in 2007.
