The board has decided to open a question paper seal now in front of the students in the classroom itself.
This year, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has decided to be more vigilant and take precautionary measures in order to prevent Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) board examination paper leaks that happened for three consecutive years. The board has decided to open a question paper seal now in front of the students in the classroom itself.
Ramesh Giri, In-charge, chairman, Mumbai Divisional Board, said, “In order to stop the paper leaks, the board has decided to open a question paper packet seal in front of students in the classroom. The instructions in writing are yet to arrive to us from Pune division board.”
The first paper leak incident took place on March 10, 2015 in Book-Keeping and Accountancy. The same paper was again leaked on March 4, 2016. In 2017, two years more question papers were leaked.
The HSC and SSC exams will begin from February 21 and March 1, respectively. The HSC oral exam will begin from February 1. Earlier the student was allowed to enter the exam hall even half an hour after the exam began. This year, the board has decided to not allow students to either enter or leave the exam hall after it begins.
