Weather update: IMD predicts rainfall in several states for next few days, check list here

The India Meteorological Department of India issued a weather update on Wednesday warning of rainfall in several states and Union Territories.  As per the weather department, states including-- Andaman and Nicobar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry may receive rainfall in the next three days.  

On Saturday, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Chhattisgarh are likely to receive rainfall.

In the last few months, severe rainfall was witnessed in the Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, causing landslides and cloudbursts. 

With a strong system in place to respond to national disasters whenever necessary, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has evacuated 1,330 people and delivered 45 tons of food, and other necessities in the last two months in Himachal Pradesh that suffered severe damage to its infrastructure.
