At least 15 people were injured in a gas balloon blast at a function in Chandigarh on Sunday evening.
The incident took place during the annual function of Kota-based Allen Career Institute, which trains students for engineering and medical entrance examinations.
Ten students and five teachers were injured when around 150 balloons filled with acetylene exploded on the ground opposite the gurdwara at Sector 34.
The injured were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital.
“None of the injured has filed any complaint. We are still deciding if any action needs to be initiated,” Station House Officer (SHO) Ajay Kumar told Hindustan Times.
