Former chief of the BJP's Punjab unit, Kamal Sharma, was today admitted to a private hospital here following complaints of chest pain.

Doctor G S Wander, chief cardiologist of Hero DMC Heart Institute said Sharma has cardiac problem but his condition is presently stable.

The 47-year-old BJP leader complained of chest pain at his home in Ferozepur this morning, his family members said.

Sharma was rushed to a hospital in Ferozepur where doctors referred him to Hero DMC Heart Institute in Ludhiana.
