This is a Manmohan Desai moment (lost and found plot), the only difference is that this time it is not reel but real. As we have often seen in Manmohan Desai's masala commercial movies where siblings got separated from each other in a Mela (fair) only to reunite in the most dramatic ways.

It's often said that films are a reflection of real-life and this was once again proved as three little sisters from Hyderabad whom fate separated three years ago got reunited during a science fair. The girls had lost their only surviving parent three years back. While two of them found their way to different orphanages in Hyderabad, the youngest wandered the streets.

Hyderabad District Welfare Officer Akeshwar Rao, who calls this the twist of fate, played a key role in this incredible tale of reunion. In the words of Rao state-run orphanages conduct several events where these children are encouraged to participate. In this series, a science fair was held early this year.

As photos from the fair were circulated among the orphanages, two girls - one aged 12 years and the other aged 14 years informed their respective caretakers that they had seen someone resembling her own lost sister.

"These girls were living with their father but when he died three years ago, they were moved to the orphanage. They had been telling officials that they had a younger sister, too, who was living with their grandmother. They also described her features, which matched those of the girl in the photos," Akeshwar Rao said.

Digging deep into the matter the authorities also found out that the youngest sister had been rescued up from the streets by their own officers two years ago and was shifted to a separate orphanage. "We believe that she started wandering the streets after her grandmother died," Rao added.

Akeshwar Rao informed that when the youngest sibling was brought before the two elder sisters, they were confident that she was their lost sibling. However, the youngest one was unable to recognise her sisters. So the authorities conducted a DNA test on all three of them, which matched.
