Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday hit out at Modi government saying, every single voice of Opposition is being muzzled.

Mamata Banerjee's reaction came after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) verbally communicated to a film maker to mute four words including 'cow' in his documentary on Amartya Sen.

"Every single voice of the opposition is being muzzled. Now, Dr Amartya Sen. If somebody of his stature cannot express himself freely, what hope does the common citizen have," the Chief Minister said in tweets.

On Tuesday, attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she had accused government of creating unrest in the country. "Our Prime Minister is making foreign trips while the people of the country are getting killed." she said.

The four words CBFC's regional office wanted to be muted are 'Gujarat', 'Cow', 'Hindutva view of India' and 'Hindu India', Suman Ghosh, director of the documentary said.

In the documentary, Sen speaks of social choice theory, development economics, philosophy and the rise of right wing nationalism across the world including India.
