Watch: Karthik Subbaraj-Vijay Sethupathi stun with 'Iraivi' trailer

Ever since director Karthik Subbaraj made his entry in 2012 in Tamil cinema with the film Pizza, people have come to expect different films from him. He followed up that film with Jigarthanda in 2014 which won him even more accolades as the film also won two national Awards. Now, the young director is back with his next which is titled Iraivi.

This movie stars Karthik's good friends Vijay Sethupathi and Bobby Simha. Director-actor SJ Suryah also plays an important role in the film. Actresses Anjali and Kamalini Mukherjee are part of this project as well.

The film's title is interesting. The director revealed at a recent event that Iraivi is the feminine version of 'Iraivan', meaning God. It's supposed to be a film about how women influence men and society. Music director Santosh Narayanan who works with Karthik on all his films has once again given an amazing BGM.
