RAMESWARAM: With two cases of disrespecting Hindu gods at a function already pending against her, a third case was filed against Tamil actress Kushboo on Friday for "defiling a place of worship and hurting religious sentiments".
    
The Hindu Munnai local secretary Ramamurthy filed the case in the court of judicial magistrate here under Sec 295 and 296 of the IPC relating to offences against religion.
    
B R Kumar, an activist of Hindu Makkal Katchi, had lodged a case in a Chennai court on Thursday, accusing the actress of disrespecting Hindu Gods by having sat cross-legged and worn slippers in front of the idols of goddesses at a film 'muhurat' there.
    
The case was adjourned by the court to December five.
    
On Wednesday, another Hindu Munnani activist had filed a private complaint at a court in Kumbakonam against Kushboo, alleging that she had disrespected Hindu gods by sitting with her slippers in front of the idols of Goddesses Lakshmi, Sarswathy and Parvathy during 'pooja' for the muhurat at Chennai on November 22.
