Rajbir Singh, Pooja Bannerjee in Legend of Hatim

Rajbir Singh, the finalist of reality show Perfect Bride has been cast as the legendary Hatim Tai in an upcoming show Legend of Hatim while Pooja Bannerjee last seen in Ghar Aaja Pardesi has been cast opposite him, inform sources.

For her role as a warrior, Pooja will have to train in sword fighting and horse riding. However, it won’t be a difficult task for Pooja, as she has been an athlete and a swimmer, who  had represented Maharashtra in the past. As for Rajbir, he is said to have lost 20 kilos for the role and done a workshop in sword and stick-fighting. A fitness freak, he has learnt martial arts as a hobby. 

The fantasy-based show is slated to air on Life Ok. it is produced by Nikhil Sinha, the man behind the hit mythological show Devon Ke Dev Mahadev and the newly-started Katha Mahadev Putra Bal Ganesh Ki. Incidentally, Nikhil had directed Hatim that starred Rahil Azam in the title role earlier.   Neerusha Nikhat, who has to her credit some 20 shows is creating the look for the new Hatim.
