Madonna Sebastian is seen in a cameo appearance as Elisa Das, Thalapathy Vijay's twin sister in the latest blockbuster Leo.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and headlined by Thalapathy Vijay, the action-packed drama Leo has turned out to be among the biggest blockbusters this year as it has already grossed Rs 400 crore worldwide and emerged as the highest-grossing film in the actor's career within just five days of its release.
The film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, George Maryan, and Mysskin in key roles. Apart from these names, one actress who has actually stole the limelight with her cameo appearance in Leo is Madonna Sebastian, who plays Vijay's titular character Leo Das' twin sister Elisa Das. The makers had kept her role a secret during the filming and only a few days before the release, the news leaked that she is a part of the film.
Madonna had made her debut in the Malayalam romantic drama Premam in 2015. The actress has since then impressed the audiences with her impactful performances in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films like Pa Paandi, Shyam Singha Roy, Vaanam Kottatum, King Liar, and Padmini among others.
In a recent interview to a Tamil channel after the film's release, Madonna talked about being part of Leo and said, "I consider it a blessing to have had an opportunity to play such a character with Vijay sir. But then irrespective of the length of the character I would have done it", as per the Onmanorama report.
The actress also added how only her mother knew about her role in Lokesh Kanagaraj film as she added, "Only my mother was aware of my role in ‘Leo.’ I hadn’t even informed my friends or close family. But when the news was leaked a few days before the release, I told everyone to keep it to themselves."
An Anirudh Ravichander musical, Leo is the third film in the ambitious Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), created by the filmmaker sharing the narrative and characters of his three films Kaithi, Vikram, and Leo.
