IIFA 2016 to become bigger and better!

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) announced the 17th edition of the most spectacular celebration of Indian Cinema worldwide that will occur in the capital city of Madrid, Spain from June  23-26, 2016.

This year, the IIFA Rocks stage will include noted music director-composer-singer Pritam who is performing with Spanish artistes as a once-in-a-lifetime on-stage production. 

Performances include the hit songs of Meet Brothers featuring Kanika Kapoor with Benny Dayal and Neeti Mohan among others. National-award winner Monali Thakur and Papon will be serenading the audience as well.

To add to the star-studded affair, Bollywood's leading lady Parineeti Chopra and actor Sooraj Pancholi are set to perform at IIFA Rocks; Elli Avram and Daisy Shah will perform the hit songs of the year. Alongside the gamut of musical acts and dance performances, the distinguished Indian fashion designer Vikram Phadnis will showcase a breathtaking fashion show marking his 25 years in the fashion industry.

The IIFA revelries are well underway, as IIFA this year, will also showcase a special teaser screening of the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra film - Mirziya.

Recreating the magic of Indian cinema, the 17th edition of the IIFA Celebrations will play host to some of the most celebrated stars of the Indian film industry, notable guests, and dignitaries from India and the region, world media and Indian cinema fans from across the globe.

Previously IIFA has shared the highlights of the upcoming Weekend Festivities: the NEXA IIFA Awards 2016 hosts were unveiled to be the multi-talented Farhan Akhtar and the versatile actor Shahid Kapoor. The awards ceremony in Madrid will witness awe-inspiring performances by the likes of Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Tiger Shroff among others.

Thrilled about performing at the NEXA IIFA Awards 2016, Bollywood icon Salman Khan said, "IIFA is like one big carnival and I look forward to performing at the NEXA IIFA Awards this June in Spain.
