Supermodel Omahyra Mota walked the ramp for the debutante designer at her graduation fashion show in the Big Apple

She’s been voted one of the 50 most beautiful people, has walked the ramp for an impressive list of designers - Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, has starred in ‘X-Men’ and yesterday, international supermodel Omahyra Mota walked the ramp for Esha Soni in New York.

Daughter of jewellery designer Poonam Soni, Esha will be graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, on May 23. “The graduating fashion show was held on Monday and I was so excited about Omahyra walking for me. She’s one of the most exciting faces on the international modelling scene today,” says Esha.

Esha’s denim dress coat opened the show and was followed by 115 outfits by other students. She also received a ‘Best denim outfit’ award for the coat by Cotton Inc. international. “I’ve graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, majoring in Fashion Design. The degree also includes a one-year study abroad programme in Florence, Italy,” she informs.

It’s been an overwhelming and exciting week for Esha. “I did a live interview with FOX 5 on Monday morning. I wish Mom was here to share this moment with me and I was with her at her Paris debut,” she says.
