Cheteshwar Pujara carried on from where he left off on Day 1 as he went on to register his seventh 150-plus score during Day 2 of the fourth Test between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Friday.

It was Pujara's third 150+ score away from home and the first against Australia.

As a result, he became the ninth Indian to score 150+ runs in an innings in Australia and also the second Indian batsman to score a 150 as a No. 3 batsman in Australia after Rahul Dravid, who had scored 233 at Adelaide in 2003.

At the end of the first session of Day 2, India were 389 for 5 and Pujara was still at the crease, playing on 181. While he'll aim to reach his fourth Test double ton, Aussies will try to deny him that when the play resumed post lunch.

Out of India's overnight total of 303, Pujara's contribution was an unbeaten 130. He has continued his heroics from the opening day and is keeping the tourists well on track as they are aiming a historic series win Down Under.

Pujara, who scored his 18th Test ton on Thursday, was a treat to watch and the new entrant in the team, Mayank Agarwal did not hesitate to praise him.

Speaking at a post-match press conference, Agarwal said, “It is just great to watch him (Pujara) bat from another end. He understands his strength and sticks to that. He is very tight with his defence, as well. As far as our partnership on the field is concerned, he keeps talking the things we need to look out for. With his experience, he keeps telling me that you know this is what they (opposition) are looking to do.”
