Arun Kumar Singh is the Chairman and CEO of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC). It is a government-owned energy company that comes under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India (GOI). 

Singh has been leading the company as chairman since December 2022. Later, he was also appointed its CEO. ONGC has a market capitalisation of Rs 2,32,000 crore as of September 8, 2023, on NSE. The share price of the company was Rs 184.40. It is India's largest oil and gas producer and a central public sector undertaking (PSU).

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the renowned National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna. Singh commands a distinguished career spanning over 37 years in the Oil and Gas industry, both within India and on the global stage. Under his leadership, ONGC is taking significant steps to lead the Energy Transition going on in India.  The company was founded on 14 August 1956 by the GOI. In November 2010, the government conferred the Maharatna status to ONGC. 

Before joining ONGC, Singh was the CMD of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). Additionally, he chaired Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL), a prominent City Gas Distribution (CGD) Company. Singh is also known for his push for corporate reforms, his astute professional business management skills have brought significant value to every enterprise he has led.
