Vivek Agnihotri is all set to enthrall the audience with his upcoming movie The Vaccine War. Recently, the filmmaker unveiled the trailer of the movie and during the trailer launch, the actor expressed his disappointment on his film not being listed as ‘most-awaited film’.

During the trailer launch of The Vaccine War, when Vivek Agnihotri was asked if he still faces problems in getting the finances for his movie, the filmmaker replied, “Leave all that, you see any paper, news channel, everyone knows that we have made this film but whenever they talk about much-awaited films or the releases of this year, you see there won’t be The Vaccine War’s name even.”

He further added, “Today in the morning a trade analyst sent me a post that talked about the expected films of this month, and in that post it was written that another film that is coming on September 28 will be the next big hit and the name of our movie was not even mentioned like we don’t even exist. So when we don’t exist then obviously who will finance us.”

Earlier, in an interview, Vivek Agnihotri said that even after the success of The Kashmir Files he is bankrupt. The filmmaker said, “Whatever money I earned, I put into my next film, The Vaccine War; and I am bankrupt as usual. Pallavi and I were discussing that we are broke again. So for the next film, the struggle begins again.” He further added, “In my mind, Kashmir Files is a commercial success for you, maybe for Zee, for people who made money. I am one of the beneficiaries, not the major beneficiary.”

Helmed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Vaccine War stars Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen, Pallavi Joshi, and Sapthami Gowda in key roles. The movie is bankrolled by Pallavi and tells the story of India’s ‘war’ to make its own vaccine to fight against Covid-19. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 28 and will clash with Fukrey 3 starring Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, and Pankaj Tripathi among others in key roles.
