Kangana Ranaut's personal bodyguard accused of rape and unnatural sex, booked by Mumbai Police

Actor Kangana Ranaut’s personal bodyguard, Kumar Hegde, has been accused of rape and unnatural sex by a makeup artist in Mumbai on the pretext of marriage.

After a medical examination and statement by the victim, a case has been registered against Hegde at DN Nagar Police station on Wednesday(May 19) night.

As per the victim’s complaint, Hegde met her in 2013 and in June last year he proposed to her. After she accepted the proposal, the accused visited the victim’s flat often and forcibly established a physical relationship with her on multiple occasions. The victim has also alleged that on April 27, Hegde ran away with a sum of Rs 50,000 from her house.

According to a report in Peeping Moon, the Kumar Hegde's mother later started to threaten the victim to not force her son into marriage. The Mumbai Police has booked the accused under IPC sections 376 (rape), 377 (unnatural sex) and 420 (cheating).

Earlier, Kangana’s former hair stylist, Brendon Allister De Gee, was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for raping a minor boy in 2020.

A statement is yet to be given by Kangana Ranaut, however, she has mentioned Hegde is like family to her. The actress was also seen celebrating and throwing a party for Hegde’s birthday recently.
