Mouni Roy and Mohit Raina fell in love on the sets of the show 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev'
Actress Mouni Roy was rumoured to be dating Devon Ke Dev Mahadev co-star Mohit Raina for about seven years and everybody thought that the couple would tie the knot sooner or later. For years, the couple maintained a stoic silence on the status of their relationship, neither denying nor accepting it, and only recently did Mohit open about it.
At the beginning of the year, Mohit said that the two never dated and "it is only the assumptions of people that we are dating." However, the pictures of the two which had surfaced earlier, narrated a different story. If that wasn't enough, the two were spotted watching movies together, in private functions and even holidaying together.
But taking everything in her stride, Mouni for the first time admitted that she's single and "not even friends" with Mohit Raina. She, in a recent interview with Mirror Now said that she is single and that she is not even friends with her ex-boyfriend.
She said, "I am single and have been so for a long time. Mohit and I are not even friends."
Isn't that unbelievable? Mouni Roy who could not stop gushing over Mohit’s look in 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897 and had stated, “Look at him. He looks like a bear. Already he is so huge and on top of that all that hair. Imagine if he was wearing all black,” is now not even friends with the actor.
When Mohit Raina was asked by Bollywoodlife about their relationship, he retorted, “This is rubbish! Let her focus on her work. We are good, she has worked hard for years, day and night, to be here. People are trying best to pull her down and malign her name. People can’t handle somebody’s growth and happiness. It’s not overnight. The real hard work is behind the scenes. We all are proud of her achievements, it’s just the beginning for her.”
Mouni and Mohit’s break up news started doing rounds last year when there were reports that they have unfollowed each other on social media. On the work front, Mouni Roy is climbing up the success ladder and has quite a few projects in her kitty.
Besides her Bollywood debut film Gold, opposite Akshay Kumar, Mouni has RAW opposite John Abraham, Made In China opposite Rajkummar Rao and Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt film Brahmastra, in the pipeline.
