Amidst heated discussion on the Medium of Instruction (MOI) in Goa, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev on Friday rendered his support in favour of local languages—Konkani and Marathi, as MOI.
Briefing media in Panaji, Swami Ramdev said that he was not against English but Indian languages should be given preference as MOI.
The parents and educationists in Goa are divided over the issue of MOI.
While one section supports English, another section is professing Konkani or Marathi, as MOI.
Swami Ramdev is down in Goa to address anti corruption rally organised by Bharat Swabhiman Trust.
