He’s busy spinning, bunny hopping, and doing wheelies on his super-bike on roads across major cities in India including Mumbai. Stunt specialist Chris Pfeiffer is doing free shows to promote stunt biking in this part of the world. He says, “This is my first visit to the country, so along with doing my biking, I want to discover the real Indian culture and meet people by taking to the roads,” he says.
This BMW rider’s best stunts include high chair wheelies, no hand wheelies, circular wheelies, stoppies, rolling and burnouts. He says, “I like to call it freestyle biking as it is more than a sport. It is also about creativity with the bike.”
And how many times has he fallen off the bike? “Many times. I lose my grip very few times in an actual show. But I fall a lot while practicing and trying out new stunts,” he says.
While stunts in India usually come with a disclaimer for youngsters, Chris doesn’t want to act like a teacher and give out messages to the youth, though he insists on safety measures. “One can’t stay away from danger, one has to know how to handle danger,” he ends.
