Meet Hitesh Thawani: An entrepreneur who turned his avocation into lucrative business

Many people who have hobbies and passions have found a way to turn that from side hustle to a full-time vocation. Sometimes all it takes is recognizing what you love doing and follow the path of passion.

Likewise, Dubai-based entrepreneur Hitesh Thawani too turned his avocation into a lucrative business. He is currently the managing director of Precious Paws, a pet spa which he runs along with his brother and partner in Dubai.

Hitesh started his career at the mere age of 19. He worked as an NLP coach - with Anand Chulani in Mumbai. Later, he also worked with Commonwealth McCann as advertising for Chevrolet MENA region before setting up his own business of Animal care and Welfare in 2015.

The idea of a pet spa emerged out of Hitesh's love for animals. While taking care of his dog, Hitesh's brother noticed him massaging his pet dog, Baileys, and thought they could open a pet spa offering similar services to other animals.

For the last five years, Hitesh has hit the ground running to uplift his venture and carve a niche for himself in the business world. His idea of doing something out of the box has helped him pave his way to success in the truest sense.

Being in the business of Animal care and welfare, Hitesh along with his team have introduced Aromatherapy and Hydrotherapy for pets, which helps prolong issues like skin conditions, and arthritis in pets.

They sourced only high-quality pet products, and serve premium-quality pet food and treats. Along with that, they have a Hotel for pets, and also provide Daycare services.

After successfully conducting the business for four years straight since the inception, Hitesh introduced mobile pet grooming services in 2019. A full spa set up in a safe and hygienic modified grooming van.

Very few entrepreneurs are willing to take risks and opt for a business model that doesn't fall under the mainstream category. 

Hitesh Thawani ditched the traditional methods and went behind chasing his passion with his exceptional innovative skills and entrepreneurial qualities. Today, the successful entrepreneur is planning to and working on expanding his venture by opening in India with stores and a wholesale distribution department of high-quality pet products.
