In what has come as a boon for 120 Hindu families seeking refuge from persecution in Pakistan, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh have made announcements to provide better civic facilities in a visit to a colony near Mubarak Chowk in Delhi. Singh met the families and discussed issues surrounding them

MP from Begusarai said, "Seeing the way Hindu and Sikh girls are being kidnapped and converted to Islam in Pakistan, Hindu families from Pakistan are sure that even though there is a lack of facilities here, their lives are safe."

The families have been living in the colony for the last six years. Currently, there is a lack of electricity and water supply in the colony. Neither there is employment for the youth nor a smooth system of ed for the children. Against all odds, these people have an assurance of preserving their culture and living with the beliefs of Hinduism.

"Electricity will be provided through solar panels in everyone's homes. A sewing machine will be provided in all the houses," announced Singh.
